How do we know that God has saved us?

Answered in 3 sources

We know we are saved through the witness of the Holy Spirit in our hearts and our faith in Jesus Christ.

The assurance of salvation comes from the internal witness of the Holy Spirit as described in Galatians 4:6, where it states that God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, 'Abba, Father.' This spirit testifies to our identity as children of God and assures us of our standing before Him. Additionally, as we embrace the truth of being regenerated by God's grace, we begin to see the manifestation of a desire to obey Him and reject sin, reflecting the work of the new nature within us. The evidence of our faith and the transformative power of grace serve as confirmation of our salvation.
