How do we know that God hears the cries of His people?

Answered in 1 source

God hears the cries of His people as He has promised to listen to those who call upon Him in faith, as demonstrated in Scripture.

The assurance that God hears the cries of His people is rooted in His covenant faithfulness and biblical promises. In 1 Samuel 11, we see that although Israel was in a state of rebellion, God still heard the cries of a remnant who remained faithful to Him. As indicated in Romans 8:28, God is intimately involved with the lives of the elect, working all circumstances together for their good. This emphasizes that even when the majority is unfaithful, God recognizes the sincere pleas of His true followers. Additionally, throughout Scripture, God calls His people to prayer, assuring them of His attentiveness to their needs (1 Peter 3:12). Therefore, we find comfort in knowing that despite the chaos that surrounds us, God is always listening and acting for the sake of His chosen ones.
