How do we know that God hears us in times of trouble?

Answered in 2 sources

Scripture assures us that God hears us in our trouble, particularly emphasized in Psalm 20:1-2 where the Lord hears and defends His people.

In Psalm 20, the assurance that 'The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble' provides profound comfort to believers. Throughout biblical history, God’s faithfulness to hear the prayers of His people is underscored. For instance, when God's people were in bondage in Egypt, He heard their cries and remembered His covenant with them. This pattern continues as we see Jesus Himself praying earnestly and His prayers being answered, illustrating God's unchanging nature as one who listens to and responds to the needs of His people. Thus, we can rest assured that in our days of trouble, God is attuned to our cries.
