How do we know that God is a reconciled God?

Answered in 1 source

God is a reconciled God as demonstrated in Scripture, where Christ died for our sins to bring us back to Him.

In Romans 5:8, it states that God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. This acts as the basis for our reconciliation. The concept of at-one-ment means that God, who was once offended by our sin, has taken the initiative to restore our relationship through the sacrificial work of Jesus Christ. Therefore, believers can rejoice in the assurance that there is nothing separating them from God's love and grace, granting them peace and joy in their relationship with Him.
