How do we know that God is able to save us?

Answered in 3 sources

We know God is able to save us because of His divine identity, the work He accomplished on the cross, and His ongoing intercession for us.

Our conviction of God's ability to save us is threefold: first, it is because of who He is—God Himself. Jude identifies Him as the only wise God, underlining His sovereign authority. Secondly, God's ability is demonstrated through His redemptive work on the cross, where He paid the full penalty for our sins and secured our salvation (Hebrews 1:3, Colossians 2:13). Finally, He continues to intercede for us at God's right hand, ensuring that nothing can harm those who belong to Him (Hebrews 7:25). This combination of His identity, accomplished work, and present ministry assures us of His eternal ability to save.
