How do we know that God is both willing and able to save?

Answered in 1 source

We know God is willing and able to save because of His promises and actions throughout Scripture.

God’s willingness and ability to save are evident in Jesus Christ, who demonstrated both through His ministry on Earth. The leper in Luke 5:12-13 exemplified this when he approached Jesus saying, 'If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.' This highlights his faith in Christ's ability to heal, combined with recognition of His sovereign will. Jesus responded, 'I will; be thou clean,' showcasing His willingness. Furthermore, passages like Job 42:2 affirm His omnipotence: 'I know that thou canst do everything.' Believing in God's sovereignty encompasses trusting His willingness to act for our good and His ability to fulfill His promises.
