How do we know that God is in control of our circumstances?

Answered in 5 sources

We know God is in control because Scriptures affirm His sovereignty over all things and His purpose to glorify Himself.

The sovereignty of God is a key doctrine in understanding how He controls every aspect of our lives. As illustrated in Exodus 14, God hardened Pharaoh's heart to pursue the Israelites, demonstrating His control over even the powerful leaders of nations. Furthermore, Proverbs 21:1 states that 'the king's heart is in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He wishes.' This sovereignty assures us that everything, including trials and tribulations, serves His divine purpose and ultimately glorifies His name. The believer can rest in this truth, knowing that nothing happens without God's approval and purpose.
