How do we know that God is in control of our promotions?

Answered in 1 source

We know God is in control because scripture teaches that all authority and judgment belong to Him.

In Psalm 75, it is clear that all governance and authority belong to God, who judges uprightly. The text indicates that He has the power to raise up and bring down individuals according to His sovereign will. Similarly, Ephesians 1:11 points to God’s work in achieving His purposes according to His counsel. This sovereignty assures believers that our lives are governed by God's hand, which operates in the promotion and demotion of individuals—not by luck or chance, but by divine providence. Hence, it is paramount for Christians to trust in God's perfect timing and sovereign leadership in all matters, including our own paths and careers.
