How do we know that God is in control of our salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture consistently affirms that God is in control of salvation, using His sovereign power to accomplish His will.

The control God exercises over salvation appears throughout Scripture, as seen in Exodus 7:1-6 where God tells Moses that He will harden Pharaoh's heart. This hardening serves a purpose: to demonstrate God's power and eventually lead to the liberation of His people. Similarly, Romans 1:20 speaks of God’s attributes being apparent, implying that humanity is without excuse regarding His sovereignty. The message is clear: God's authority doesn’t only govern the world; it also governs the hearts and minds of men, ensuring none can resist His will when He decides to act in their hearts.
