How do we know that God is my God?

Answered in 1 source

We know God is our God through faith, which provides the evidence of our relationship with Him (Hebrews 11:1).

The assurance that God is our God is founded on faith. Hebrews 11:1 states, 'Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.' This means that our belief in God’s promises confirms our relationship with Him. Additionally, reliance on God's grace based on what He has done through Christ is crucial; it affirms that we are saved not by our works but by His purpose and grace. As a result, our faith, which looks to Christ, is the evidence that we belong to Him and that He is indeed our God.
