How do we know that God is our shelter?

Answered in 1 source

We know God is our shelter through the assurance that He has provided us with grace in Christ and protects us from wrath (Psalm 46:1-3).

God as our shelter is a reassuring truth deeply rooted in the gospel. The safety we find in God is grounded in the work of Jesus Christ, who took upon Himself the wrath of God for our sins, ensuring that those who trust in Him are forever secure. He is our hiding place, the one who protects and shields us from all that could harm our souls. In every trial and tribulation, the promise remains that we are hidden in Christ, safe and secure under His wings until the storm passes.
