How do we know that God is present in our struggles?

Throughout the Bible, God reassures His children of His constant presence during difficult times. For instance, in the life of Elisha, we see that he accompanied the Sons of the Prophets, showing that God's representative was with them—a foreshadowing of Christ's promise to be with us always. The miracle of the swimming axe head exemplifies God's power to intervene at the moment of affliction, reminding us that no situation is too trivial for His attention. In times of distress, we can cry out to the Lord, knowing He hears our pleas, just as he did for the desperate man with the lost axe head.
