How do we know that God is sovereign in all things?

Answered in 3 sources

God’s sovereignty is evidenced through His control over creation and His intentional plan for salvation as revealed in scripture.

God's sovereignty means He reigns supreme over all creation and orchestrates every event according to His will. Scriptures like Daniel 4:35 affirm that the Lord does according to His will among the hosts of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth, with none able to resist His command. This sovereignty extends into the realm of salvation, where God is not only just in condemning the sinful but also merciful in saving those He chooses. God displays His sovereignty by purposefully showing mercy to His elect and fulfilling His covenant promises throughout history, ultimately manifesting grace in salvation.
