How do we know that God is sovereign over all evil?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereignty over evil is affirmed in Scripture, demonstrating that even sinful actions serve His greater purpose.

The sovereignty of God extends even to the acts of the wicked, indicating that no evil can thwart His plans. In John 13:2, we see that 'the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot' to betray Jesus, underscores that God allows even traits of a sinful nature to fulfill His divine purposes. Ralph Erskine remarked that God employs wicked actions to contribute to His glorious design, thereby illustrating that He is in complete control of all creation, using what seems to be evil for His ultimate good. Therefore, we can affirm that all events, including those we perceive as evil, are woven into the fabric of God’s sovereign will.
