How do we know that God is sovereign over all things?

The doctrine of God's sovereignty is affirmed throughout the Bible. The Scriptures clearly state that God is in control of all events (Daniel 4:35) and that His will cannot be thwarted (Isaiah 46:10). The events recorded in Acts 19 demonstrate this as Demetrius and the rioters inadvertently serve to fulfill God’s plan, even amidst their rebellion. This teaches us that God's sovereignty encompasses our lives and the world around us, working all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
