How do we know that God is sovereign over ministry?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereignty means that all aspects of ministry, including who attends and who leads, are established by Him.

The message of John 3 portrays the sovereignty of God as central to understanding the dynamics of ministry. A person cannot receive anything unless it is given to them from Heaven (John 3:27). This underscores that the growth of ministries and the acceptance of the gospel are under God's control. John understood that his success in baptizing was not through his own efforts but by God's will. This encourages believers to trust in God's plan for their ministries rather than competing with one another. When we acknowledge God’s sovereignty, we find contentment in our roles and responsibilities within the church.
