How do we know that God is with us during storms in life?

Answered in 1 source

The assurance of God's presence in our storms is derived from His promises in Scripture, where He is described as a faithful companion through all trials.

Scripture assures us of God's unwavering presence in the storms of life. Matthew 28:20 reminds us that Jesus is with us always, even to the end of the age. Moreover, the narrative of Jesus calming the storm in Matthew 8 illustrates that He not only accompanies His disciples through trials but has authority over them. Our trials serve to remind us of His sovereignty and compassion, as expressed in Hebrews 4:15, where we learn that He sympathizes with our weaknesses. It is in these moments that we must trust in His promise to never leave us nor forsake us, recognizing that His presence is a source of comfort and strength.
