How do we know that God is working for our good?

Answered in 2 sources

We see God's commitment to our good in His declaration that He does all things well, and that all events serve a purpose for His chosen people.

The assurance that God works for our good is clearly articulated in Scripture. 2 Corinthians 4:15 states that 'all things are for your sakes,' referring specifically to God's chosen people. Additionally, the phrase 'He hath done all things well' emphasizes that God actively works through all circumstances, whether we perceive them as beneficial or detrimental. It is through Christ that we become joint heirs with Him, and thus God will not withhold anything good from us (Romans 8:32). This doctrine reassures us of God's unwavering good purpose in every detail of our lives.
