How do we know that God knows us individually?

Answered in 1 source

God knows each of His children personally and intimately, as demonstrated when He called Simon by name in John 1:42.

In John 1:42, when Jesus encounters Simon, He addresses him directly by name, 'Thou art Simon, the son of Jonah.' This personal recognition illustrates God's omniscience and His unwavering knowledge of His people. Just as He knew Peter's upbringing and identity, He knows each one of His children fully and intimately, which provides comfort and assurance of His providence over our lives. Additionally, Scripture, like Ezekiel 16:6, emphasizes God's compassion, as He sees us in our helpless state and calls us to live, revealing His love and grace personally to each individual.
