How do we know that God loves righteousness?

Answered in 2 sources

God's love for righteousness is evident in His relationship with Christ, the only righteous man.

The love of God for righteousness is intrinsically linked to His character as a holy and just God. Proverbs 6:16-19 illustrates that what God loves and hates reflects His divine nature. He loves righteousness because it is embodied in His Son, Jesus Christ, who is the only truly righteous man. In Jeremiah 23:6, the Lord is referred to as 'The Lord our righteousness,' reinforcing the idea that God's love for righteousness is not abstract but is rooted in His relationship with Christ, who fulfills the law perfectly. Therefore, our understanding of righteousness comes through our faith in Christ, through whom we are justified and made righteous before God.
