How do we know that God loves us as He loves Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus prays that the love the Father has for Him may be in believers, affirming God's love for us.

In John 17:26, Jesus states, 'I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it, that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.' This prayer underscores the intimate relationship believers have with Christ and the Father, showing that the same love the Father has for the Son is also bestowed upon the believers. It emphasizes not only the unity between the Father, Son, and believers but also the depth of divine love that defines the Christian experience. We are invited to share in this love, which confirms our identity as children of God.
