How do we know that God offers peace to those in Christ?

Answered in 1 source

We know God offers peace through His promises in Scripture, affirming that Christ's sacrifice brings reconciliation and peace with God (Romans 5:1).

The assurance of peace with God comes from understanding the finished work of Christ on the cross. Romans 5:1 tells us that 'therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.' This peace is rooted in the grace that God extends to those who believe in Him. It signifies that the enmity caused by sin has been removed, and believers can now approach God with confidence, knowing that they are reconciled. The abundance of peace that surpasses understanding is a powerful testimony to God’s faithfulness towards His people.
