How do we know that God predestined Christ for battle?

Answered in 1 source

God's eternal plan included Christ as the predestined Savior ready for battle against sin and death.

Before Adam's sin, God had already purposed a Savior, indicating that Christ was set apart for battle from eternity. Psalm 110 assures us that God's decree was not a spontaneous reaction but a preordained plan: 'The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of His wrath.' This showcases God’s sovereignty in salvation, as He equipped Christ to be both King and High Priest, designated to accomplish the covenant of grace through His life, death, and resurrection.
