How do we know that God reconciled us through Christ?

Answered in 1 source

We know of God's reconciliation through the explicit teachings in scripture and the sacrificial work of Christ.

The assurance of our reconciliation stems from the teachings of Scripture, notably in 2 Corinthians 5:18-19, which states that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them. Additionally, God's initiative in sending His Son, as seen in passages like Romans 5:8, underscores His love while we were still sinners. By acknowledging that the reconciliation was established by God's grace and not by human effort, we recognize the depth of His mercy and the centrality of Christ's atoning work. Therefore, the entirety of our belief rests on God's sovereignty and faithfulness as recorded in His Word.
