How do we know that God remembers His promises?

Answered in 1 source

We know God remembers His promises because He is faithful and unchanging, as demonstrated throughout Scripture.

David's plea in Psalm 119:49 provides insight when he cries, "Remember your word to your servant, upon which you have caused me to hope." This acknowledges both God's faithfulness and our propensity to forget His promises. In Sovereign Grace theology, understanding that God does not forget His word reassures believers that His covenant, which is sure and steadfast, will be fulfilled in His perfect timing. Our hope is anchored in the character of God, who cannot lie and who delights in keeping His promises to us.
