How do we know that God requires faithfulness?

Answered in 1 source

God's Word consistently emphasizes the responsibility of believers to be faithful stewards of all He has entrusted to them.

Faithfulness is a consistent theme in Scripture; God requires it of His people in various forms. In Luke 12:48, the direct statement that much will be required of those to whom much has been given outlines the necessity of faithfulness in stewardship. Furthermore, the Bible instructs us to be diligent in our ministry, as seen in 1 Corinthians 4:2, where it says, 'Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.' This tells us that our faithfulness is a reflection of our love and commitment to God, and that we will ultimately give an account to Him for our lives and the responsibilities He has given us.
