How do we know that God's choices for us are better than our own?

Answered in 1 source

God's choices are informed by His perfect wisdom and love, leading to outcomes that are ultimately for our good.

The narrative of Lot and Abram in Genesis 13 demonstrates how God knows what is best for us, even when we are faced with choices that seem appealing. When Abram allowed Lot to choose first, he evidenced his trust in God's sovereignty over the situation. The better choice is often not the most obvious one, as worldly standards might lead us to prioritize wealth or status. God, through His infinite wisdom, provides us with what we truly need—conformity to the image of His Son, Jesus Christ. As Christians, we can have confidence in following God's direction, trusting that His plans lead to ultimate redemption and blessing.
