How do we know that God's chosen people are true elect?

Answered in 1 source

God's true elect are those who seek Him and worship in spirit and truth.

The true elect, as highlighted in Psalm 24, are identified by their pursuit of God and their acknowledgment of His holiness. Verse 3 asks, 'Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord?' indicating that it's God's chosen who will seek Him. This concept aligns with John 15, where Jesus states, 'You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you,' emphasizing divine election. The characteristics of the true elect includes having clean hands and pure hearts, reflecting their position not based on personal merit but on God's grace. Evidence of being among the elect is exhibited through worshiping God in spirit, rejoicing in Christ Jesus, and having no confidence in the flesh.
