How do we know that God's church will prevail?

Answered in 1 source

The church will prevail because it is securely under the sovereignty and protection of Christ, who is in control of all things.

The assurance of the church's ultimate triumph is rooted in the doctrine of God's sovereignty. Throughout the book of Revelation, God reinforces that Christ, our Redeemer, reigns supreme as the absolute monarch over all creation. This means that while it may appear at times that the church is losing ground, the reality is that God's church is always safe and under His protection. Furthermore, the promise that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church signifies that although external challenges may arise, the church's true essence and mission will never be extinguished. The faithful witness of God's servants throughout history confirms that no force, earthly or spiritual, can thwart God's plan for His elect.
