How do we know that God's covenant promises are true?

Answered in 2 sources

God's covenant promises are affirmed in Scripture as He is faithful and cannot lie, with all His promises finding their fulfillment in Christ.

The assurance of God’s covenant promises rests firmly on His character, which is unchanging and faithful. In 2 Corinthians 1:20, it states, ‘For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.’ This underscores that every covenant made by God is fulfilled in the person and work of Jesus Christ, the mediator of the new covenant (Hebrews 8:6). God's faithfulness is exhibited through Scripture and history where He has intervened on behalf of His people. Thus, we can approach Him with confidence in prayer, knowing that His promises are backed by His omnipotent word and are realized through the redemptive work of Christ.
