How do we know that God's elect will never perish?

Answered in 2 sources

God's elect will never perish because their security is based on God's sovereign grace and the work of Christ (1 Peter 1:5).

The assurance of the eternal security of God's elect is rooted not only in the promises made by Christ but also in the understanding of God's sovereign grace. Scripture clearly states in 1 Peter 1:5 that believers are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time. This preservation is not contingent upon human actions but solely on God's will and purpose. He has chosen His people and given them eternal life, and His love and grace ensure that they will persevere. Therefore, their perseverance in faith is evidence of their preservation by God, confirming that no true believer will ever fall away.
