How do we know that God's existence is true?

Answered in 1 source

We know God exists through revelation and spiritual discernment rather than human intellect (Romans 8:29).

The existence of God is revealed in scripture and through spiritual understanding rather than through human logic or philosophical arguments. Romans 8:29 highlights God's foreknowledge and predestination, implying that those He chose will come to the knowledge of Him. Various philosophical 'proofs' of God's existence, such as the ontological or cosmological arguments, are ultimately inadequate because true knowledge of God is spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14). The natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God, emphasizing that a true understanding of God's existence requires a heart transformed by the Holy Spirit. Thus, faith in God's existence is fundamentally grounded in His self-revelation rather than human reasoning.
