How do we know that God's grace can intervene in our lives?

Answered in 1 source

God’s past mercies and His sovereign ability to act show us His grace can intervene, as illustrated by Hezekiah's story in Isaiah 38.

The Bible reinforces the idea that God's grace can intervene at any moment, as presented in the stories of David and Hezekiah. In Isaiah 38, God sends Isaiah to Hezekiah, offering him an extension of life after the king earnestly prays. This illustrates that while God's decrees are certain, our prayers are not futile—God may choose to respond to our supplications with grace. Therefore, while we cannot predict God’s actions, we see through scripture that His grace often surprises us and can intervene in ways we cannot foresee.
