How do we know that God's grace cannot be abused?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace is transformational and governs the heart of believers, preventing true believers from abusing it.

The Bible teaches that God's grace governs the hearts of true believers, leading them to live in obedience and love for God rather than engaging in licentious behavior. In Jude, it is made clear that those who turn God's grace into a form of immorality are perverting the very essence of salvation (Jude 4). Genuine faith produces a desire to honor God and live righteously, demonstrating that those who abuse grace likely never truly understood or embraced it. This truth is supported by scriptures such as Romans 6:1-2, which asks, 'What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?' Thus, true grace leads to sanctification, not sin.
