How do we know that God's grace does not excuse disobedience?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace does not negate the necessity of obedience; rather, it underlines the seriousness of sin even in believers.

While we are saved by God's grace through faith, this grace is not a license for disobedience. The story of Moses shows that even a man of faith can be apprehended by God for failing in obedience. When Moses neglected the command to circumcise his son, God’s severe displeasure was evident. This directly illustrates that grace doesn’t lessen the holiness of God’s expectations; rather, it magnifies the importance of sincerely submitting to His will as an expression of true faith.
