How do we know that God's grace enables obedience?

Answered in 1 source

God’s grace not only saves but also empowers believers to live in obedience, as He works in us to fulfill His purposes.

God's grace is multifaceted; it not only brings unmerited salvation but also empowers believers to live in accordance with His commands. In Philippians 2:13, Paul states that 'it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.' This indicates that the very desire and capacity to obey are gifts from God. As believers, we must recognize that our obedience is not a mere product of our own effort, but rather an outworking of God's transformative work within us. This understanding fosters a dependence on God's grace that enables us to live a life pleasing to Him.
