How do we know that God's grace is saving grace?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace is saving grace because it is a divinely given gift that completely redeems and transforms sinners, as highlighted in Ephesians 2:8-9.

Ephesians 2:8-9 articulates that salvation is by grace through faith, and it is not of ourselves but a gift from God. This demonstrates that grace does not simply make salvation possible; it actively accomplishes salvation for those whom God has chosen. It is comprehensive and all-encompassing, including electing grace, justifying grace, and redeeming grace. This means that God's grace not only chooses the elect but also justifies them by making them legally right before Him. In addition, it redeems them by paying the debt for their sins, something they could never achieve on their own. Therefore, saving grace is the very essence of God's work in the believer's life, ensuring that their salvation is entirely attributed to Him, defeating any notion of salvation by works.
