How do we know that God's grace makes us ministers?

Answered in 1 source

God's grace is the source of our calling and abilities as ministers of Christ.

Paul explains in Ephesians 2:8-9 that we are saved by grace through faith, not of our works. This same grace empowers us to be effective ministers for Christ. In Romans 11:6, he points out that if our calling and election were by grace, then they cannot also be by works, emphasizing that it is entirely the work of God. The grace given to Paul, and consequently to all believers, enables us to fulfill the ministry we have been called to, as it is not based on our merit but solely on God's unmerited favor. Thus, the assurance of being a minister comes from the recognition of God’s gracious election and calling of His people before they were born.
