How do we know that God’s jealousy is a good thing?

Answered in 1 source

God's jealousy is good because it stems from His perfect nature, ensuring we devote ourselves solely to Him.

God’s jealousy is integral to His character and holiness, safeguarding the relationship between Him and His people. Unlike human jealousy, which can be sinful, God's version is protective and righteous. It demands our loyalty not out of insecurity, but out of His glorious nature and the truth that He deserves our complete trust and devotion. As seen in Exodus 34:10-17, He opposes idols not to enhance His power but to preserve the integrity of His covenant with His people.
