How do we know that God's justice is satisfied?

Answered in 2 sources

God's justice is satisfied through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ, who bore the sins of His people.

God's justice is satisfied because it requires that sin be punished. The cross of Christ is where God's justice and mercy meet; as Romans 8:32 indicates, God did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all. This act of self-sacrifice was necessary to uphold God's righteous standard while providing a way for sinners to be justified. In Romans 5:9, we see that we are justified by His blood, meaning that the demands of God's law were fully met by the suffering of Christ. Thus, believers can be assured that God's justice has not been overlooked but perfectly upheld.
