How do we know that God's law cannot be changed?

Answered in 1 source

God's law cannot be changed because it reflects His eternal character and holiness, requiring perfection that cannot be compromised.

God's law is unchangeable because it is not merely a collection of rules but a reflection of His holy nature. The law demands absolute perfection, both internally and externally, which is foundational to God’s character. When Darius issued his law, he was unable to change it, even for Daniel, showing that even human laws bind their creators. Similarly, God has established a law that cannot be altered, for to do so would mean compromising His justice and holiness. As declared in Matthew 5:18, 'Not one jot or tittle shall pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.' Therefore, the righteousness required by God can only be fulfilled through Christ, who perfectly upheld the law and offers His righteousness to those who believe in Him.
