How do we know that God's love cannot be purchased?

Answered in 1 source

God's love is freely given and cannot be earned through works or sacrifices.

God's love is not for sale; it cannot be bought with money or merit. The preacher emphasizes that attempting to purchase God’s love with our actions or offerings is a gross misunderstanding of His nature. Psalm 50:10-12 illustrates that all creation belongs to God, who needs nothing from us. Nothing we do can earn His favor, as His love is rooted in His character and is sovereignly dispensed. Such attempts to barter for God's love would be utterly despised, as it undermines the grace and holiness of God.
