How do we know that God's love changes with maturity?

Answered in 1 source

God's love is expressed in different ways as His people mature, reflecting their growing capacity to receive His love.

The expression of God's love is not static; it evolves as His people grow in maturity and faith. This concept is illustrated through the description of Shulamith in the Song of Solomon. As she matures from a young girl to a full-grown woman, her relationship with God, represented here as her husband, deepens and becomes more intimate. Just as a father understands the frailties of his young children, God meets us where we are and nurtures us, facilitating our growth toward a more profound relationship. This maturity allows for a richer experience of love that includes both commitment and intimacy, which are crucial aspects of our relationship with God.
