How do we know that God's love for His people is eternal?

Answered in 2 sources

God's eternal love for His people is evidenced in the unbreakable covenant established through Christ’s sacrificial death.

Scripture asserts God's unwavering commitment to His people through numerous passages. For example, Jeremiah 31:3 states that God has loved His people with an everlasting love. This love is manifested in the person and work of Christ, who, in Isaiah 53, bore our griefs and sorrows and provided atonement for our sins. This covenant is unbreakable; as seen in Romans 8:38-39, neither death nor life can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Thus, God's eternal love is not contingent upon our faithfulness but anchored in His unchanging nature and the redemptive work accomplished on the cross. His choice to save us and hold us in His love is a reflection of grace.
