How do we know that God's love is genuine?

The genuineness of God's love is evident in His condescension to ask for our hearts. He, as the Creator, desires a relationship with us, which is an act of supreme love. Moreover, 1 John 3:1 states, 'Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.' This unparalleled love is also displayed in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who bore our sorrows and ultimately laid down His life for us. Such demonstrations of love reflect His desire for us not to be lost but to be reconciled to Him as beloved children.
