How do we know that God's love is given to believers?

Answered in 1 source

Believers know God's love through their union with Christ, who is the beloved Son of God (John 3:35, Romans 8:39).

God's love is most profoundly evidenced through Jesus Christ, the Son, who was beloved by the Father. John 3:35 states that the Father loves the Son and has given Him all things. This divine love extends to believers as they are united with Christ (Ephesians 1:4-5). It is through faith in Him that we can confidently claim God's love, and Paul reassures us that nothing can separate us from this love, which we experience as part of our identity in Christ. Thus, God's love is not a generic emotion but a profound reality experienced specifically through our relationship with Jesus.
