How do we know that God's love is infinite?

Answered in 2 sources

God's infinite love is demonstrated through His sending of His Son as the propitiation for our sins, as stated in 1 John 4:10.

The Bible affirms that God's love is not only great, but infinite and unchangeable, particularly towards His people in Christ. In 1 John 4:10, we see that this love is manifested through the sending of His only begotten Son into the world to be the propitiation for our sins. This sacrificial love is an example of the depth and significance of God's love towards us—He loves us as we are and provides for our redemption. Furthermore, Romans 5:8 states that God demonstrates His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. This illustrates that God’s love is not conditional but is rooted in His nature, making it steadfast and eternal for those who are in Christ.
