How do we know that God's love is unwavering despite our indifference?

Answered in 1 source

God's unwavering love is illustrated through His persistent pursuit of His people, as demonstrated in the Song of Solomon.

Despite the bride's indifference in the Song of Solomon, her beloved does not abandon her but instead continues to knock and call for her. This signifies God's unchanging commitment and love towards His children. Even when believers become spiritually dormant, God remains active and attentive, seeking to awaken them through His grace and mercy. God's love is one that pursues, irresistibly drawing His people back to Him, as expressed in Revelation 3:20, where Christ stands at the door and knocks, desiring fellowship with those He loves.
