How do we know that God’s mercy is available to everyone?

Answered in 1 source

God's mercy is available to everyone as evidenced by His saving work in the life of Saul, a former persecutor of the church.

The story of Saul's conversion in Acts 9 illustrates God's boundless mercy. Saul was actively persecuting Christians, yet God chose to reveal Himself to him in a dramatic way, turning this murderer into one of His greatest apostles. This event shows that no one is beyond the reach of God's grace. The sudden light from heaven that shone on Saul while he was traveling to Damascus signifies that God's mercy can penetrate the darkest hearts. As Romans 5:20 states, 'where sin increased, grace abounded all the more.' Thus, everyone can hope in God's mercy because His grace is sufficient to save even the worst of sinners.
