How do we know that God's mercy is greater than our sins?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible assures us that where sin abounds, God's mercy far exceeds, offering hope and forgiveness.

Scripture teaches that God's mercy is boundless and unmatchable, surpassing even the multitude of our sins. In Psalm 5, the psalmist reflects on God's mercy as a source of hope amidst human failings, stating, 'I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy' (Psalm 5:7). This highlights the believer's reliance on God's grace, recognizing that while our sins may be great, God's mercy is infinitely greater. As we confide in His mercy, we find peace and assurance that our wrongdoings do not define us because they have been covered by the blood of Christ.
